Removing Car Stereo in 94

Hey there...

I tried to remove my factory casett deck with no luck. I removed the console and front dash, but I can figure out how to get the face plate off and how to remove it.

It seems like it may have a bolt at the end of the stereo holding it in maybe, but I don't know how I can get there to remove it.

Does anyone have experience with this or able to point me to a link on how to do this? Its a 94 original cassette.

It's not the type with the two small holes on each side of the faceplate?

I dunno, it has two thin strips that come off the side, but I did not see any screws. Its the factory tape deck from 94.

I think there something liek 2 little holes on each side. you have to rig a caot hanger or something. stick it in the 4 holes and that realease a tab or something that hold its in.

I may be wrong about how amny holes or how exaclty it releases it, I replaced my head unit a while ago. but I do rember that we had to rig a coat hanger to shove into the holes.

I just figured that out, thanks! Now if I can just figure out how to get the back speakers out......

damn that site does it the hard way! Just pop the grill off...No need to pull the whole inside out!

ITs not that simple. I took the grill off, but even after taking the screws out,the speaker is like glued or welded to the assembly. I will check out the site.

You seem to know so much about the 7, I really appreciate it. This car brings back distant memories of my 82 RX. I bought it in 89 when I was 19. Kinda getting of the subject, but since we live so close if you see a black 94 Touring say Hi.
