How much for an engine in a junkyard?

What's the lowest price you've seen an FD engine for? I want to find a rebuilder so I can learn , before I work on mine...?

About a year or two ago I got a price for 2500.00 for a complete motor with turbos. Trying to get a junkyard to sell you just the block without everything else might be difficult.

All i have to is good luck finding an Fd in a junkyard esspecially one that runs. Kinda like searching for the holy grail.

yeah i was just looks for the engine w/out the turbos....humm great..
