Why did Fram sue Kellogs?! Im guessing this involves some of the cardboard Fram uses?
i know your not trying to argue, i was just pointing that out.
fram didnt really sue kellogs, just common knowledge that the filtering element in fram filters is recycled cereal boxes

I finally got the Greddy Oil Filter relocation kit removed tonight. What a pain!

I don't have a jack or stands yet. To drain the oil I did what I do to drain the oil in my sailboat's diesel engine. I used a pump. It actually worked really well in the FD. I have a hand pump that pumps the oil out of the dipstick tube into a container. It pumped it dry. I actually got more oil out of the car than I expected (a bit of a mess).

There is a lot more room there now without that kit. I ended up using Penzoil 5W-30W dino for my oil and a K&N filter. I am going to think about switching to a synthetic in the future, but this should work fine for now. My engine should be happy, new oil and filter twice in a couple hundred miles.

Anyone want to buy a used Greddy Oil Filter relocation kit?

I didn't have much in the way of tools when I bought my FD either. I gave mine its 1st oil change by driving the front up onto some old phone books -- I could just reach the drain plug.

There was a website out there that did a great breakdown of the different filters available on the market, which ones were made by the same companys and labeled differently, which were good, which were so-so, and which flat out scared the guy doing the comparison . I'm sure someone has it handy because I've long since lost the link myself ...
