The good news is that you can limit the boost -- just use less throttle. 5 psi is going to break traction the same way that 10 psi would. If you choose to drive your FD in the snow, just be sane with the gas pedal and you will be fine. These cars are actually not too bad to drive in the wet or snow, despite the fact that someone seems to total their car every time it rains on here.

Any car can be driven in the snow. Not every car is well suited for it. The FD is not a good snow car. If you have a choice, and it seems that you do, get something else for the winter.
