Redline vs. NEO gear oil review

Just switched from Redline to Neo in my tranny. Ha dredline in for about 20000 miles and always had a hard time engaging 2nd gear when the car was first started in the morning especially on cold mornings. After the switch to NEoO no more difficulty with that. I dont really notice mutch while shifting when driving and when warmed up but the car is deffinitely easier to shift when cold. As the two gear oils are around the same price I can no longer justify using redline, and I had used it for years in my MR2 turbo and my RX7. My vote deffinitely goes to the NEO.

Neo is the ****, shifts like slicing butter. Dramatic difference from stock grade.

I changed from Redline to NEO and LOVE the difference. The Redline was only about 2k miles old, and the difference was still unbelievable. Much easier to shift quickly, and far better cold-shifting with the NEO. I'll never go back to Redline.

Can you buy this "Neo" stuff in any retail stores or do you have to order it online?

I switched to Neo from Redline MT90 about 8 years ago for better cold shifting. Make sure you get the 75W-90HD, and not the other Neo 75W-90 grades.

The best gear oil in my opinion is SWEPCO. Most professional racing teams use it.

There was a thread in this forum about a year ago, that had the same consensus. I believe that when all of the info was put into a "matrix", it was decided that ................. "Neo is the one"
