recomended oil vis

I have been using M1 15-50 in my FD for years I live in a hot climate S.Fla.Just wondering if M1 10-30 would be a better grade mainly for cooling since thinner oil cools better plus it would flow easily,10-30 also recomended in the workshop manual. Would mixing 50/50 ratio of M1 15-50 to M1 10-30 be a good idea, might be better compromise.

Mobil1 15w50 is fine for Florida weather. At the most, I would switch to 10w30 or 5w50 for the winter months.

Yo man I was using 10-30 but my pressure was just to dam low and I didnt like it. (The heat) So I switched to 20-50 and now I get really nice pressure at any RPM range. I suggest it at least for our summers since its always 90+ , but when we get to winter switch back to 10-30.

I have been checking out BOBISTHEOILGUY forum and many dont recomend using a thicker oil because it might increase engine wear ,reduce fuel economy, and reduce power.I have used thicker oil in all my cars, hard to understand that 15-50 is considered thick when it pours like water when hot?

theres like a million threads about it, all with different opinions and preferences

"they say" that using syn is bad cause syn cant burn, its too slippery, in a rotary engine, you need to burn oil, whats why we have oil coolers for, oil is injected into the combustion chamber to lubricate the seals..

idk, some people still use it and have zero problems, i prefer not using it and just 10w30 (castrol, which is in the fd now)
