Recently did intake upgrade

Hello,
I recently did an intake upgrade.
My set up is stock hoses into K&N end pieces that fit onto K&N filters.

I have attached a pic wondering where this hose is supposed to go and the importance of it. (the one with the white arrow) it goes inot the engine area. By the way this is not my set up but just wanted to point out the hose that i am talking about...

The kit that I bought did not have enough inlets to fit both the Air pump and the hose that I have circled in my attached pic. Initially i had the airpump just blowing into the atmosphere and I was able to fit the other hose in... but this gave me a mooing noise....

SO basically would it be better to leave the air pump hose out and put the one circled in my attached pic into the intake or vise versa... The air pump blows out and the other one sucks in..

ok im not talking about the air pump i know that can be just out by itself with a breather on it so it doesnt make mooing sound.

THere is a reall small hose from my engine to the intake im not sure what its for but it SUCKS in air when gas is given.

I'm curious about the same thing too... I think you talkin about the two little hoses that used to go directly into the stock airbox... what do you do with them if you have a intake setup that doesn't have an inlet for them??

VP!!

tHAT is not a pic of my car i thought that that pic might help explain what I am talking about but i guess it has not.

At the moment i have my air pump still installed in my car... It is vented to atmosphere.

Check out my attached pic. again i have not been able to get a pick of my set up
i would just like to know what this hose is and the importance of it.
tHE HOSe comes out just above that left pulley

if ur talking about the hose coming from the stock airbox in that area that doesnt connect to the air pump, it does not connect to anything.

But it sucks air when throttle is given, this is ok in terms of duts/debry going into the engine?

Ok let me get this straight
does my air pump blow out air or suck in air?

Pics of my setup finally

Hello,
here is pics of my intake setup.
Should i put the air pump into the intake and leave the other one out ? or should i keep both out...?
When i put the air pump into the intake and left the other hose out (the one circled in my pic) the engine seemed alot cooler after driving it....

Is it necessary to have this hose circled in my pic vented into the intake or just leave it out? does it matter or not if I have a filter on it as well?
does that inlet lead to the actualy engine or is it sucking air somewhere else?

the airpump sucks in air so keep it connected to the intake system

the one above the airpump pulley is the airpump INTAKE, this needs a filter. the other one you have marked is the airpump BYPASS - this needs a silencer.

ANd what if no filter is present on the air pump ?
does this suck air into the actual engine?
or is the airpump standalone from the engine and dumps the air into the exhaust?

it injects air into the exhaust system. if you don't have a filter on it you risk it sucking in road debris or other crap

no it does not need to go back into the intake. it just needs some sort of silencer. some people use a small breather filter. there are other options, just search for "airpump silencer" maybe...

Air pump sucks air in from surrounding atmosphere and blows it into the main cat. Air pump only works up to 3k rpm.

some high flow cats allow u to retain the air pump while midpipes allow u to remove your airpump, although installing a midpipe will require u to port your wastegate or install a blockoff plate
