How tall is 2tall?
I'm 6'6". With a smaller steering wheel and adjusting the throw on the clutch pedal I fit great. Also helps I don't have a sunroof and I have an R2, the leather Touring seats seem to sit a little higher.

I'm 6'2" and driving my sunroof FD with stock seats sucked. You add a helmet to that mix and some sticky tires on a cone course and you're gonna need a back-iotomy.
I would recommend garage star brackets/rails. I used garage star brackets to get a recaro profi spg as low as possible and it is one of my favorite upgrades ever. Bolted the seat belt receiver to the stock location and use a 10" belt extension.
To get it as low as possible i had to install the rails first and then the seat on them which was a pita, but worth it. It's because the seat blocks the rear bracket bolts.

From what I've read, the ABE's do fit. They are a bit wide in the top for when the interior curves in so they can't go all the way back, however, garage star rails seems to have the best reputation for quality and LOW-ness.
Also Dale.. 6'6" in an FD?! Mama mia!

Planted has rails for Recaro's, I'm pretty sure Garagestar is no longer around judging by social media comments of people wanting there money back.

So I received my pole positions, I’m 6’2 and like others am looking for the lowest brackets I can and I had found a used Garagestar set for my driver side and picked up a planted mount for my passenger side.
The Garagestar brackets don’t seem to fit very well at all and maybe new pole positions are wider then the seats the brackets were developed off of. I’m going to try again for the third time to make them work and I’m also not impressed with the thickness of the material when compared to basically everything else on the market when I’m able to bend them by hand. When braced to the floor and the seat they will work but I wouldn’t feel comfortable having anyone else other then myself using a seat in my car with these brackets in a hard impact.
The Planted seat brackets are a higher quality part but when compared to how they mount to the floor and to the seat they sit considerably higher and I would only recommend them for much shorter people as an option.
So I’m also still looking for alternative rails that fit the pole positions

I'm still looking to see how far back the abe seats will go in the FD... I found a nice video on youtube https://www.google.com/search?q=pole...fPuJWEdmMtGBFM but its unclear how far back they can go.
