If the rear-seats are added it will still be considered a 2-seat car based upon the VIN code.

i saw a guy that actually did the conversion. do not do it. the storage bins are more functional. there's no way anybody with legs and taller than probably 5" could fit in the back. plus real sports cars don't have 4 seats. next thing you know people will be wanting cup holders

The seats don't weight jack. Have you weighed the storage bin?

In JAPAN they get hit with a HUGE TAX PENALTY on 2 seat cars - so all JDM sports cars have the rear seats as a DELETE option. The JDM 4 seat cars are lighter b/k the US cars have some extra reinforcement to pass US side impact requirements, including (but not limited to) the REAR STRUT BAR - on the JDM car w/ 4 seats there is no Rear Strut Bar and w/o a rear strut bar the fd won't pass the aforementioned impact requirements, So no 2+2 option for the US

Funny enough a fellow FD owner came up to mine to see if it back seats. I think it may have been an insult... I have no noticeable mods, no wing and no sunroof.

Just thought I would share.

I have rear seats in my car. Forget about adults sitting in the back or even 2 kids over the age (lets say 8 or 9). You have to move the driver seat up so much and it is difficult to drive. The reason I got rear seats. I can have my 9 year old in the front and 6 year old in the back and pick them up at school or run to the store...
So, for me they work great. The ONLY downside is the interior gets more traffic.

Same here. I have the rear seats in mine and I sit my 7 year old in the front and my 5 year old in the back. I put the wife in the trunk(she bitches too much)
