yes, most JDM had rear seats... they weigh little... not much more than the storage bins.

I used to have them too and when i shipped them they were 25 lbs not including the blets which combined for like 2 lbs, and as far as cost there around $300 for good shape ones and thats not including the new rear inside panels to fit seat belts instead of bin ones which dont have the right shapes and cut outs for seats.

true u probably can "for a bit" but i dont think a 6 foot person will fit in back of the drivers seat...but then again i dont have an fd.. yet...but then again i have read countless ours of countless days of info on these cars, and my final opinion is get them. i would. chances r if u do u will use them sooner or later and ive heard u can use them *** u did the storage bins just without the lids

go for it, i think it makes the car even more rare and unique

thanks very much for all the help guys. it feels damn good to be getting back into this stuff. i use to be on this forum 24/7 before. i did have a uber clean fc once, with all the mods listed...that is before some dumb chick decided to try to run a red and slammed into my drivers side door at 40mph. after that i lost touch with all this stuff for about a year...which is an eternity to any rotor head. so now ive begun looking into buying an fd so thanks again for all the help guys... and the FC guys say that all FD owners are ********. lol...

6'2 *can* sit back there, but only in pure misery in my experience. I've had two people over 6ft tall in the passenger side of the FD at the same time (in front seat, and in back seat) They fit, but niether liked it. lol.

My buddy, and my gf, both whom are in the 5'4-5'6 range fit back there just fine though.

I've used my rear seats several times. Dont listen to haters saying they are worthless. If you have them at some point you will use them, I garantee. They ARE worthless if you dont get the JDM side panels as well. The bin side panels stick out too far and anyone attempting to sit back there w/ the bin panels will have them sticking deeply into their side.

Watch out! These back seater types are pretty passionate about their accessory!

Got flamed a few weeks back for suggesting that rear seats were not an option on the FD as they had been for the FC.

In that regard (by way of sharing some trivia on the subject), nearly all JDM models apparently came equipped with four seats. [Amazing!] Only a few specialty models such as the Efini, etc., were sold "domestically" as two seaters. On the flip side, all FDs exported to the US and the rest of the world were available as two seaters only.

Now we all have way too much information on this to-die-for accessory!

And I guess these actually turn up from time to time on E-bay.

I love my rear seat set-up. I rarely have anyone sitting back there but there are times I have to. To me they are much more useful than my bins since I only used those for my purse and jackets. The tallest person that was even willing to sit back there was about 5'6" and she sat behind me (5'1") and wasn't happy for our 15 min ride.

I agree with BryanDowns if you are getting them you should go with the complete set (w/panels and seatbelts) you don't really need the tranny tunnel cover though. I got my entire set-up (incl carpet, tranny tunnel, center console, ebrake, seats, panels and seatbelts) really cheap. Everything was in mint condition. The material is vinyl tho so I would like to get them recovered in leather or just wait until my front seats get too worn and go a katskins wrap all around.

Do keep your eye out on ebay for them. My set-up came from some importers in Washington.
