ask vosko about a solid rearend, i believe he has split one wide open. he will probably have some good input on this subject.

Zoomzoom, Jet7:

You have something in common-you're both friend's with me :p Ok, ok, I would talk to Vosko, he has expertise in breaking everything with an advanced degree in drivetrain distruction. I believe he is/was selling a kaz dif. If you really want to go ape ****, Jim labreck is putting together a ford cobra dif conversion kit.

there's a mod selling a diff brace that's supposed to help this sort of thing. Soon as I save up some more money from my engine/turbo/clutch/everything replacement I plan on getting one.

Check in the group buy section. Can't remember if its here or on no pistons

Kaaz will help in it holding up a LOT more. However, once you get into the crazy horsepower range and start launching like a bat out of hell, you'll need to probably fabricate a ford 9 inch or something of that sort. People have been machinging those rear-ends to fit under anything for years and they're rock solid. Just a thought.

From what I understand is the guys at Kaaz claim that NO ONE with an RX-7 has every broken one of thier Diffs. I like your chances not breaking the KAAZ.

ok time for some facts!!!

first of all a kaaz diff is no different than a OEM 87-88 TII clutch diff. they look IDENTICAL!

are you running a stock torsen diff ? if you are! mine broke in about 50 miles. they cannot take any abuse.

if you get wheel hop you will destroy

A) PPF
B) Diff Casing
C) Tranny
D) Diff

the reason i stopped breaking drivetrain parts even with a sintered iron race disk is
A)Solid Custom Jr's Rotary Tranny Brace
B)Diff Brace
C) BRAND NEW TII Diff
D) Rebuilt with all New parts Jr's Rotary Bullet Proof Tranny

i drag race my car, i drift my car, i do burnouts, you name i do it and i haven't been able to break the car lately. the only thing i am doing is switching back to a six puck disk. the iron disk is made for a gforce racing trans so it SUCKS on the stock trans. anyway. i love my car now that i can't break it

at the moment i have the only jr's tranny brace

he is going to have a whole bunch made and sell em. you can use a TII diff in the FD casing.... all turbo diffs are the same its just the outside casing that is different

Question Kaaz noisey?

Just out of curiousity....for you guys that have used the Kaaz.

I have heard that some people have had some real noise problems with these things disengaging going around turns (not that I think anyone here with a big single or straight exhaust gives a f**k about noise!).

The one car I've seen with a Kaaz, sounded like a Detroit Locker diff I used to have on an old 77 Bronco I used to own - clickety, clickety, clickety - clack.... like a car with bad cv's going around a turn.

Any input guys? Thanks.

GEB.

Hey VOSKO I pm'd you on the T11 diff replacement , just in case you didnt get it here goes, I broke the thing yet again , this time with moderate driving and a max of 8psi boost , anyway , I got a T11 series 4 diff , but cant seem to be able to find the clutches , actually when I peep through the openings in the LSD housing all i see are some gears , similar to the 3rd gen , but less in number . Everything went together well , that is all the required parts swaped right in except for one of the axle half shafts which seems a bit too long , how did you get around this problem ?.

that sounds correct but if you look at the diff you shouldn't see gears like a FD diff... you should see two pieces of metal its kinda hard to explain

I see something like a large ,thick "layered" washer in the middle and out at the ends there are four gears, the diff housing is cylindrical ,so there is one at either end (top and bottom) and two more on the side walls , I think .
If it is similar to the KAAZZ , then there may be gears as I ab sure I saw four gears in the KAAZZ exploded view.

T2 diffs

if you look on the side of the diff and you see two sets of gears that is a torsen diff. its easy to spot

No !!!, its not like the FD torsen diff , there are holes in the side and I can only see the gears if I look through them !!.

Its also larger in size , heavier and more "heavy duty looking" than the FD's , the ring gear was a tight fit , but went on perfectly. I am quite sure its not a TORSEN , but I am not sure if its a viscous or not , how do you tell?.
