I have taken my callipers out for painting and now for some reason I cant get them back on, the pads are close and wont slide over the rotor, does anyone know how to get them back on?

You have to push the pistons back in.

crack the bleeder screw
screw the piston back in

its important that you open the bleeder screw a little or else the piston doesn't seem to want to retract. at least that is what happened to me recently.

ok , so got the callipers back on, put the wheels back on , went for a drive I can feel and hear the rear brakes rubbing ( even scraping) like they are always on, is this a symptom of not bleeding the brakes?

Also make sure you didnt bend the splash shield and makeing contact on the back of the rotor! I would jack the back of the car up and the rotate the wheels and listen for scraping.
