Thumbs down

It gets dirty as ****....if you paint it you'll have to clean it about every other day. Also, not sure how the paint will hold up to the heat from the tailpipe.

I'd leave it black.

it would look so much better if you paint it but like goodfellas said, the paint might not hld up to the rotary heat. BTW what color are you going to paint it now? Did you ever get a new front bumper?

I agree... it looks good, but after you paint it and it chips (which will happen) - it looks much worse than if it were just black.

Hey John! Might paint it kawasaki lighting blue w/ some added pearl, or might just keep it the same color. Anywhichway, its going in to the paint shop to get all the new pieces done. yeah my bumper finally came, I got the 99' jspec without the license plate.

thanks for the posts guys

Mine is painted CYM to match my car... the previous owner painted it and it's held up very well. No noticable problems from exhuast heat or paint chipping. I don't particularly like it though... I prefer it black. Heh, if anyone has a CYM and wants to trade me for a black piece, let me know.
