Is it a real reman? Help!?
I recently purchased a Mazda reman motor from my old rotary shop. It was later discovered that they did some very crappy/lazy work on my FD and I do not trust that the motor they sold me is a real Mazda reman. How can I verify that it is? (I can not get a hold of the person who sold it to me so rule that one out)
Thanks!

The problem is anyone can just glue the reman tag on. Look for orange-pink silicone and an oil pan gasket. The tension bolts should also have a red paint mark on each. The slop that crap all over. Recent remans might have gray silicone however. Nasty power steering leak btw.

This is getting frustrating

If I get the receipts can I possibly return the motor to Mazda for a refund? Does Mazda keep records of the specific motors? (like if I called them with the # could they give me info on it?)
I was honestly thinking of going Pettit. When you say "they slop that crap all over" do you mean on the oil pan gasket? Mine is hella sloppy which is what made me question it in the first place (other than the fact I have been fucked by the guy who sold it to me before)
Thanks! Any more info would be great!

If it turns out to be a Mazda reman why do you want to return it? If there is nothing wrong with it, why would you expect them to take it back and give you a refund? Especially after it has been installed in a car and run.
