Question Re-break-in KAAZ?

Searched through the archives, but I don't think this one has come up before. I bought a used KAAZ that had already been broken in by doing the figure eights. It shouldn't be necessary to do that again, now that I've installed it in my diff should it? My understanding is that the break-in is for the clutches, correct?

I was a little surprised at how much it shakes the car at low speed turns. I suppose I'm ok with it as long as it's normal, but it the popping and shaking feels strong enough that it seems like it'd be bad on the driveline... And I used synthetic fluid with the clutch additive... That's what made me start wondering if it needed breaking in again...

You're correct. It will not need breaking in again.

It's normal for all that chatter. Makes me wish I never got the Kaaz.

Great, thanks for the replies. I thought that was the case, but as everyone else I suppose, was a little suprised at how severe the popping and shaking is... No biggie. I'll just have to learn to only use the gas while I'm going straight in those parking lot situations...

The amount of torque transfer affects the clutch forces withing the unit causing this.

The Racing Beat racing LSs for the first gen, would not do this but when it unlocked after a tight corner, it would make a loud snapping sound like something broke.

FIXED! Thanks to Crispeed, the Rx-7 forum and the Kaaz website. I changed the Kaaz fluid just to be sure it has the correct type and amount. I also added 1 small bottle of the recommended GM limited slip additive (right off the shelf at work )
Then I did the full break in procedure as per the website:

http://www.kaazusa.com/techHelp/tech_Help.htm

I did exactly 30 minutes, was dizzy afterwards. The noise has decreased 300% and runs great. Thanks!!!
