RE-Amemiya SMIC piping fit
RE-Amemiya SMIC piping fit
I just received my RE-Amemiya SMIC and realized that my Greddy 2 peice SMIC piping does not look like it fits, since the stock intercooler bottom piping comes straight out like the top.
The Re-A SMIC bottom piping goes straight up, did not think this was going to be a problem since it was a SMIC that was roughly the same size as the stock intercooler.
Do I have to get custom piping for this to work?

You need the RE-Amemiya hard pipe, or the HKS hard pipe to fit. The GReddy 2 pieces hard pipe won't fit your RE-A SMIC.....
Here is the link for RE-A hard pipe. I am using these hard pipes for my RE-A SMIC too...

Are you talking about just about the bottom pipe of the RE-IC?
The top pipe should fit the greddy pipes, they're both designed to fit stock parts.
If you're talking about the bottom pipe that points up, you would need to get an additional pipe which connects that to the Y-pipe

In terms of GReddy compression tube piping kit you cannot use the 'S' hard pipe unless you cut it. GoodfellasFD3S has that right
The top end GReddy kit pipe should fit fine with the GReddy elbow and RE-amemiya intercooler.

Yeah, it's the bottom peice that I'm talking about. I have a table saw I'm going to use, I don't have access to an air saw or anything else. However the SMIC doesn't even fit properly with a mock setup that I did earlier.
It comes in contact with the radiator fans.

Yes, like GoodfellaFD3S & SonicFD said, you have to cut and trim it. But shouldn't you get GReddy SMIC in the first place, instead of RE-A SMIC? Since the GReddy 2 pipes kit matches with GReddy SMIC? Now you have to cut and trim a bit!
You could get the pipes if you really dont want to cut.
