Rats Nest Hose Diameter

Hey !

Im gonna rewire that bloody mess of thing next weekend, the car is 50 miles away so if anyone could tell me what diameter silicon hose i need it would be well appreciated...

Car is a 92 J-spec 3rd Gen TT

I used to have a link to a FAQ for this but it appears to have vanished - ne1 still got it hotlinked ?

Thanks for the Info !

Just checking the available hoses from my MS supplier - the best hose they carry is rated for 200Deg - will that be ok for the Rats nest ? im thinking it gets pretty cooking down there...

Translated into english units:

Most of it is 5/32" and a small amount is 1/4".

Recommend that the hose be a Buna-N material, or Viton but not silicone. While silicone is good for heat, it is not happy in the presence of oil, and can soften, swell, deteriorate and break apart.
