Thanks,

Make sure the system is cooled off. Drain radiator from the drain **** underneath (remove undertray), drain block from 12mm bolt on the driver's side bottom of the intermediate iron.

Refill, burp system of all air. You can leave the coolant hose off that goes to the back of the throttle body. Watch it like a hawk and as soon as coolant comes out connect it. This will help bleed most of the air out of the system. Also run the heat inside the car to help flush out air pockets.

HTH !

To add to Goodfellas, here's a modification to his procedure that I use:

Mahjik and Goodfella...you guys are the good ones. 20k plus posts each and STILL putting out advice for the most basic of questions. I did the flush last year and didn't dare ask this one, because there's so much info if you searched. And then the typo too....no haters yet? Everyone must be in a good mood.....

But I never drained the block. I might have read about it but was too lazy. Exactly where is this intermediate iron?? Thanks for all you do!

When you're under the car, look up by the spark plugs. Find the center iron (between the rotor housings), look towards the bottom and you'll see the bolt

Zoolander,

You are absolutely correct in that there is so much info if the OP would just search. Mahjik and Rich are definitely on the "nicer" side of FD owner, while I don't consider myself as nice.

Not only did the OP not search, he also double posted in the vendor forum in the rx7.com section.

Laziness...and he wants to be "spoon fed" the info.

People have no problem helping owners if they have shown that they have first tried to help themselves by researching (perhaps using the Factory Service Manual) or searching the forum. For some strange reason, this concept falls on many deaf ears...

Ok, off my soap box. Happy Father's Day!
