Thankfully I had a great local Rotary specialist mechanic go through my FD almost 20 years back and did a large swath of reliability mods, including the installation of a Koyo radiator and a downpipe. At least I'm already covered there.

Just a quick update, after changing the fill cap and the AST pressurized cap (0.9 bar) and burping all the air out of my coolant system, it looks like everything is good now. I took the car for a long drive on a hot summer day and my aftermarket coolant temp gauge showed only normal expected operation as described in the big coolant thread.

FWIW, Pettit is selling a redesigned AST now . It looks just like the RX7.com unit but the price is higher.
