R1 vs. R2

I'm lookin to buy a used RX-7. What's the difference between R1 vs. R2. I tried to search but it told me it can't search for a word with less than 3 letters.

Its good that you are not sure, because none of that is right. Most of the time that people ask for advice, they prefer that you really know the right answer.

in a nutshell...

R1 = 93
R2 = 94/95, slightly softer suspension than R1

other than that they have basically the same stuff... no sunroof, suede-like seats, dual oil coolers, strut bar, etc...

I actually have noticed a difference in the seat height of the 2. My R2 sits a little lower and tilted back.( Feels more like a bucket) ALL the R1's I work on and drive feel higher and tilted forward towards the wheel. Anybody else ever notice this?

I have looked at the 2 cars brackets but find no differences.

Don't try to kill my thread because of dumb asses. Yes I finally found the info I needed. R2 has slightly softer suspension than the R1. That's all I needed. Thanks

Different tires from the factory also. 93 skins were extremely slippery when wet. Not that it matters in an 11-year old car.
