Talking Pics of my HKS V-Mount

Sorry I can't seem to upload pics. Here is the link though

http://pachome2.pacific.net.sg/galle...iuid=iloveniki

There is one pic where can you see the shroud of the fan. That is how low it is! Still waiting for my Microtech so my RX6 can't go in yet.

Thanks they are Yokohama Advan Model 6's. Very light but I felt they looked better on the shelf then after I put them on my car. I wanted the Mazda Speed rims but they cost about US$600 per rim! Ouch!

There are about 15 I think. The car is ten years old so only thing you gotta pay for is a C.O.E (Certificate of Entitlement) and Road Tax. Road Tax is around US$500 for a year. I bought the car for around US$50k. Reason because of the bloody COE. All cars in Singapore have to have this COE thingy, it gives you the RIGHT to drive the car for 10 years after which you gotta scrap it or export it. Or you can extend another 10 years. Average price of this @$^&* COE? US$15 - 18K!!!!! Madness.

Does the kit accomodate the A/C? Curious where the condensor mounts.

Similar Q for the Power Steering cooling loop.

Yup, the condensor mounts between the radiator and the metal plate that seperates airflow to the intercooler and radiator.

I am not sure how the workshop relocated the p/s but so far so good with my steering. I think Cossie mentioned something about cutting the lines. A lot of fabrication needed to be done though as this is for the 99 spec FD. Had to rewire the electric fan harness as the wires won't long enough to mount the fans under the car.

I have been dreaming about them for the past 2 years. They rock! Saw one Nismo set on a skyline. *Sigh* but wtf it is so ******* expensive! I could buy an ENGINE for that price! Settled for these but I rather 5 spoke than 6. I tried to get them from Rays directly but they didn't have the required offset for the FD.

Haha! Funny you should mention that. The Blitz SUS can't fit and I am going single so this is a "temporary" mod till the RX6 goes in. Apparently for the stock twins only the HKS RS will fit.

Cool someone else from Singapore! Thought I was alone here! Nope bought it from Eurospeed. My previous FD was from Airing. It is still for sale. My friend is trying to sell it. You interested?

Nope. Did it at Garage R. They are the official distributors for HKS. I bought it before it was listed in the catalog. They showed me some concept pics in a HKS newsletter and I ordered it although it didn't have a price! I ordered it sometime in October last year. Just installed it so you know how long it took to come! I paid S$3500 for the kit plus installation but the "other" things came up to $350. E.g the smaller battery, the a/c condensor (mine wasn't an original), and some welding work.

Heehee! Cars are freaking prcey in Singapore. Just to give you a little idea.

a new Ferrari 360 cost in the region of US$550K
a new Skyline R34 cost something like US$150K
a Pagani Zonda cost over a million US dollars.
and a Nissan Micra cost US$40K

Sigh.....really sucks sometimes. You don't own a car here. The car owns you!
