Unhappy R my Turbos dead.

Ok well heres the story. Well I have been out of the state for a month now and well I let my cousin take care of my car. So I got home last night and well, I went to go take cruise in my FD and this is what I found out. Well I take it out the driveway with no problem. Then I put it in first gear it feels ok then As I shift to second and as I pushed on the gas I got no power, it like held back on me. it got to around 2.5K and would seem like it wanted to stall. I Think it's the turbos what u guys think. Since I was told my turbos were going bad. any opinions welcomed.

First, did your cousin leave you any gas? Second, it sounds like you are in limp mode. Try disconnecting the battery, wait for a few minutes, put your left foot on the brake and turn your self around.
That may do the trick for you.
I don't know how someone could tell that your turbos were going bad without pulling off some parts and inspecting them. If you believe people like that, I've got some swampland you may be interested in.

maybe your air intake is not connected properly, because I had a similar problem with my FD. Just make sure everything is hooked up properly.

i'm going to agree with spooledup. it sounds like your car is in limp mode. pull the negative on the battery, stand on the brake for about 30 seconds, reconnect the battery and see if that solves anything.

if you are still in limp mode, check to see if the ECU is throwing any codes. here is a write up on how to do that.

good luck.

Are you making boost? Is the pattern the same as before?

Is the car warmed up? Sounds like you fired it up, backed out of the driveway and punched it. Just had to check and make sure

I think your cuzin decided to take it to race wars, and beat the hell out of it.

Do you know how much he drove it? Maybe theres some carbon build up?

spooled- Why do you think it would randomly go into limp mode?
