Cool 2 new track vids up

Nothing real fancy, just some incar of me chasing down a 500+ rwhp z06 and a small clip of the z06 with flames coming out the rear.

They are at at the top of the page:
http://www.myrx7.com/movies

PS
I experimented with audio setting s and was able to get rid of the almost all wind noise so you can hear the z06 and my car really well.

I'll post on what I did when i post on my cam setup.

thanks kai,
this really isnt autocross, although its a small track, its open lapping a full road course, autocross is 'generaly' more like a open lot using cones to set up the course and its a lot lower speed.

either way, its it worth while to get the car in either kind of event. :-)

thats right Damian, thank you for clearing that up for me, either way I would like to do either one, just as long as I can drive the car the way it was built for. I am almost done with my set up to make it track worthy and I may be able to find the time to take it to the track soon.

Keep posting the videos, I love watching it since you dont get to see much of Fd's on speedvision.

Is it me, or does the vette driver need improvement? He seemed pretty jerky, letting the tires smoke at the zig-zag. His car seems pretty fast.

his tires were not smoking, there is a lot of dust on the right side exit of the zig-zag cones and he got a bit to far right and into the dust.

actually i think the biggest benefit is to the intercooler since it sits right in front of the vents...i do notice a about 5 degree drop on the small tracks, more like 10 on the big tracks

How do you like your Eibach springs with this course? Did they change the ride height over stock?
I went through your images directory and spyed some pretty cool stuff. I noticed the eibachs, and since I have a set on my parts car I wanted to know what you thought of them.

huh, eibach springs? you must be thinking of my street car that i used to track, this track car has a full jic coil over kit.

but when i was tracking my other 7 yeah, i liked how they felt, nothig in comparison to the yellow track car, but much better over a stock suspention.

hahah thanks fatman, yeah the 'speedracer' vid came out to be funny as hell, between the music and the high speed video it just cracks people up, me included.

haha, well i got my mom and my gramma to go with me too, they all loved it :-) it was tricky getting my gramma stapped in, but i didnt hold back with any of them, all of them could claim they have been to 160 :-)

... and not that this is what you implied, but keep in mind im not a 'kid at the wheel', i turned 30 a few months back, been open tracking for over 2 years and I am one of the safest drivers on the track ;-) (knock on wood)... I drive no where near the raggid edge of disaster and I am gonna take my sweet old time to incramentaly move to that edge, and have no problem being slower than the next guy as long as im having fun and being as safe as possible given the inherent danger of this activity (hehehe)

>>BTW, how many laps per engine?

Well, dunno.... this track car is new to me as of this season, I got it over the winter. Should last a few season I would bet since it is conservativly tuned for 15 psi and I only run 12-13 at the track so far. My stock 95 that I was tracking previously took 2 solid open track seasonos with no change in engine performance, now its a street only car.
