Quicker steering ratio

I havent found anything via search, so i'd like to know if anyome managed to quicken up their FD steering ratio while keeping the power steering ? I am planning on doing autox with my FD next season and a quicker lock-to-lock would come in handy....

You should'nt have to go lock to lock autocrossing. Spend your money on good brakes

What I was trying to imply is that having to turn the wheel less from one side to the other for the same wheel movement would be nice.

I already do trackdays, but this year I went to autox with my ITR and won the national championship in stock division today. So I'm thinking to stepping up and drive next season with my FD. And I need to change some stuff to be able to fight it for the top places.

FYI, our autox is much tighter (6feet between pair of cones) and speeds rarely get over 60mph. In the tight stuff, it is sometimes required to go full lock-to-lock to make it through...

330mm steering wheel will help a bit. I've tried the Sparco Ring/Mugello. The Momo Cobra R is also very nice in a 350mm D shape. Otherwise, I think you're looking at custom if you wanna go that route. Most people are find on the stock ratio though...

The only way you could change the ratio would be a different rack. Good luck finding one that would be a direct fit.

Hmm, or maybe some kind of multiplier coupling between the shaft and rack? Like a planetary to multiply the input speed.

good luck fitting something like that in the engine bay too haha. i also wouldn't want another link between the steering wheel and the rack either. just another point for failure.

Drivers in the US won national SCCA championships for many years with the stock rack....
