Professionals Please. RX7 Power Users upgrading ?'s

Hey guys I have a series of questions I would like to get answered. If you guys get time and can answer them or one of them that would be great. I am a first time RX7 owner but have been in the tuner scene for a really long time. I really have had trouble finding any kind of FAQ or information database on these rx7 twin turbos. Anyways if you guys can help me out I would greatly appriciate it. Thanks all.

Q.) If I were to swap turbos from the twins to a single garrett turbo would I use a t3 or t4 flanged turbo?

Q.) What is the typical upgrade from the stock twins? Turbowise.....

Q.) What kind of boost can the rotarys take on a stock block with a turbo upgrade and all supporting mods?

Q.) What kind of fuel pump should I upgrade to from the stock fuel pump?

Q.) What kind of boost can you push through your stock twins?

Q.) Would you suggest going to bigger twins or to a larger single turbo?

Q.) Are their any websites out ther that offer a larger amount of RX7 info and walkthroughs? Is their any kind of classified website for used RX7 Parts and so on?

Q.) Is a Full T4 57trim turbo a decent upgrade to the stock twins?

Q.) If I were to upgrade from the stock twins to a Full T4 57Trim garrett turbo besides the injectors, pump, FMIC, and powerFC upgrades what else would I need to worry about. Oil lines? Cooling Lines? Gaskets? I know I will need a single turbo Exhaust manifold to match the T4 but what kind of exhaust manifold?

I know some of these questions are probably really newbie but this is my first RX7 so bare with me. Thanks a lot and I will add to the list of questions as they come along.

You need to do some homework. Pretty much all the information you need to do a single upgrade is on this website. A good place to start is the single turbo section of your looking to upgrade. Some people like to upgrade to a single to clean up the engine bay as well as get some performance. Others like to upgrade to somthing like the BNR stage 3 twins to stay as stock as possible with some good performance numbers. It all depends on what your trying to do with the car.

There are other things your going to need for a single upgrade. Things that come to mind are ignition, external wastegate, and radiator. As far as the fuel pump, alot of people run the TT Supra denso pump or even a twin in tank setup depending on power goals.

All in all it sounds to me like you are trying to jump into a project you dont know anything about. If you cant answer the qestions you posted above you should either learn alot more about these cars before you start working on it, or take it to sombody with some experience.

+1, some very solid advice right there. Do a LOT of research and when you can answer those questions for yourself you'll be in a much better position to start heavily modifying your car. Otherwise you look to be on a path of more problems than anything else.

Man I clicked the FAQ link and it was nothing but rules to the site. I honestly just want to be pointed into the right direction for pointers on this. I must have said 5 times that I am a total newbie and that these were newbie questions and that I really didn't need people telling me that I didn't know what I was doing because I stated it like 3 other times in the post. Anyways anyone else willing to help me out would be greatly appriciated.

Guess you missed the FAQ thread stickied at the top of this section? Or the entire single turbo FAQ sub-forum? Or the search function for basic questions?

Please use those options and then come back with some specific questions...your questions are so vague as to be unanswerable.
