Quick Charge Control actuator question

Quick Charge Control actuator question
Ok recently i have lost most of my 2ndary boost. At 4500 boost will drop around 5 and flutter along with a noise that sounds like compressor surge almost. In my process of testing solenoids now I have come to a hault.
When i hook up a mity-vac directly up the the charge control actuator...on the B port (which is the pressure port) and put pressure the actuator opens immediately. However only after a few seconds the actuator starts to return to normal posistion. I feel like its leaking out somewhere....but it could be normal operation for all i know.
Basically does this sound like a bad charge control actuator....???
thanks.....and BTW i have perfect 10 psi for primary and no leaks in piping.

Right mate,,,, firstly i beleive you are talking about the turbo control actuator (not the charge control actuator). The big one that bolts to the bottom of the turbos... Right mate basically if you are applying pressure and the arm is returning to normal its leaking and im pretty sure that its not supposed to do that so quite possibly this is your problem (as the turbo control actuator is responsible for control of the 2nd turbo)

yes i am referring to the charge control...which is attached to the y-pipe. I am having 2nd problems so this is what lead me to the charge control. It looks like im gonna have to replace it.
Whats the easiest way to go about this...i have pretty much everything apart as we speak. Does the ypipe need to be removed?
Str8ryd, im gunna take you up on your offer...i REALLY APPRECIATE it! check your pms

You can disassemble just the actuator from the rear half of the y-pipe, but I think it needs to be off the car. In any case, it's probably easiest to change the whole rear half of the y-pipe as one component.
Just pull the secondary turbo inlet tube and the rest of the intake pipes. Then unbolt the 4 bolts holding the front and rear half of the y-pipe and lift them out together. Then pull the halves apart, being careful to not cut the o-ring.

sorry mate,,, as soon as you said the pressure side (presuming there was a pressure and vacume side ) i thought you had made a mistake and was on about the turbo control actuator,,,, stupid me i forgot the charge control actuator has vacume and pressure control aswell.
