question re: intake elbow hose - greddy piping kit elbow doesnt have it

I ordered the Greddy intercooler piping kit for SMIC to replace stock plastic components and rubber hoses. The Greddy elbow does not have a hose connection coming out of the back of the elbow.

My questions are:
1. what does that hose connect to
2. what does it do
3. what do i do with it now that there is no place to connect it
4. is it necessary
5. are there any adverse affects from not having it connected
6. is there any other place that it could be connected if it is necessary

appreciate any feedback you may have for me.
thanks,
chuck

you could just put a bolt on the hose when you take it off, because you would have to take the UIM to block the aws.

you also might have to adjust your idle when you block that off

I have one with a brass fitting for the AWS hose and injectors boss's that I would trade if you want. Otherwise, you could cap the line which could leak and pop off or you could do the block off plates like I did from k2rd. PM me for pics if you want.

I got mine removed, the funny thing instead of capping off the hole on the elbow I replaced it with a BOV, its actually quite conveniant considering its where everyone suggests you SHOULD put your BOV, ( close to the throttle)

I have some info from a very old RX-7 List post I made about that at the end of this page:
http://maxcooper.com/rx7/parts_info/ic/index.html

However, I moved to a warmer climate and the cold-start stalling went away, so I left it capped. I never had any problems with the cap coming off or anything.

I put an fillter on mine and it has yet to leak oil or make a mess. It also helps to keep the car from stalling when it's cold.
