Question between 13b & 20B
I was thinking about taking a 13b and trying to make a 220 MPH viechle but i need for the engine to at least have 650hp=9 second car. Do you any of you think that a 13b can do at least 700HP=9 second car. I was thinking of using a T88 because the car already has 430hp on stock twins. If anybody think this is possible let me know. Reason is that i have a 6ix speed from the RX-8 on a 13b engine. and i dont want to go with the 20b because i spent so much on the 13b already.
Thanks for looking

Also, the gear ratios are less than ideal for the FD.
1st 3.76:1, 2nd 2.27:1, 3rd 1.65:1, 4th 1.19:1, 5th 1.00:1, 6th 0.84:1.
The 0.84:1 6th gear would put the engine at about 3,250 rpm @ 70 mph, which would burn up your tank pretty quickly compared to the stock 0.72:1 5th gear @ 2,700 rpm. In fact, you'd be at higher rpm in every gear except 5th (same as the 5-speed's 1.00:1 4th gear) at any given speed, and you'd be shifting more often.
It would also cut top speed to ~172 mph with the stock 4.10 differential gears in the manual, ~181 mph with the 3.90s from an automatic. To be able to even break 200 mph with the RX-8 6-speed, you'd need a set of 3.42:1 gears... which don't exist for the stock FD differential. To get to 220, you'd need a set of 3.07:1 gears, which don't exist either.
As far as the length of the RX-8 6-speed, you'd probably end up having to have the driveshaft modified, and the shifter may not match up to the stock opening. I don't think that anyone's confirmed that the bellhousing bolt pattern is identical to the stock 5-speed either. How about adapting the FD's slave cylinder to actuate the RX-8 clutch? Would you like me to keep listing more potential problems with this swap?

I just call the car a GT1 because one of my favorite cars is the 1998 Porsche 911 GT1. Just cause i call my car that doesnt mean there is a such thing. .

With what you posted about Rynberg (one of the most helpful longtime members here) you have already lost ALL credibility.
Where are your pics? I don't want to see another post from you without them.

WTF are you thinking? Rynberg is one of the most credible members on this forum.
If you're determined to do 220mph and have the tens of thousands of dollars to do it then I suggest calling Racing Beat since they're one of the only people to have done it before.

Here was his reply on the other thread:
Darkphantom, I will give you a chance. Anyone familiar with RX-7's, or general car logic in general for that matter, can easily see through the childish stories you have posted. Yet, I did mention that I would give you a chance, and here it is: Reply in both threads the honest truth about your car situation, and the original intent of asking the question. If you can do this, and step up to the plate accordingly, do not worry about being ridiculed for I will not allow that either. But, I do think it is important that you expose yourself honestly, take in any public humiliation you have already received, and then get a proper answer to your question. If you do not do this, I will remove all your posting privileges to the forum.
