Question about key hole light

Hello

Just wondering. My driver side key hole lights up when I pull on the door handle. The passenger does not. Is this only suppose to light on the one side or is my passenger one burnt? Since I want everything working perfect on my new baby I would have it fixed.

Thanks

Max

drivers side only and it should only come on when you pull up on the outside door handle.

Hello

FD3Smaniac. I would say you have a wiring issue. Not it take much power but over time it could drain your battery if in storage....

BillM,

Great!!! Thanks for the reply, so that means I actually have nothing to fix on my car.

thanks again

You should consider this "Happy hour" and the time to learn everything about this car that you can IF you intend to repair it yourself.....because the time for repair is right around the corner.

Hello,

Really there is nothing to fix on my car. It does only have 14600 original miles.... But really, I just had my car at KDRotary in PA (Dave's shop) last month. I asked Dave to give it a complete review. I gave him my credit card and asked him to do what ever and anything that is needed or even just suggested. After one front brake caliper, a swap from the OEM AST to a Tri-Point unit, a new driver door rubber seal, new front lip, new fluids, and a few tie wraps on a couple of vacuum hoses he could not find or suggest anything else.

So happy I am. I also don't expect anything to go wrong for a long time, according to Dave.

Regards

Max
