Question about fd frame parts

Anyone know if it's possible to get frame parts from anywhere. I need the sheetmetal that is under the rear bumper support. I do not think mine is salvageable. Please help

$272.55 at Mazda

Call Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda or your local Mazda dealership. They should be able to get it for you.

As noted. Call Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda. They sell OEM sheet metal and it is inexpensive. It generally takes him a day or two to order it in.

If you don't want brand new, I have a shell that I cut up to fix something on my car and I may have what you are looking for. Down in Gainesville so not terrible far from Savannah if you wanted to cut yourself and pick up.

Will do. They were very helpful. I believe it's going to be about 300 after taxes which I'll probably be purchasing on the 1st

Download the service and parts manuals at http://www.wrex-racing.com/web/fd/info.htm

They also have a collision manual there you might want to look through.

Sorry to steal your thread but does piece 1 bolt onto the frame or is it welded on?

If it is the metal bumper guard underneath the skin it is bolted on.

it's the metal frame where it holds the trunk keyhole. I was wondering if it would be cheaper for me to replace it or bring it to the body shop for repair since it is slightly dented in.

I'll look at mine tomorrow and take a picture since the rear bumper is off. We might be talking about 2 different things. The part I'm referencing to is removable.

The part I'm talking about is the one label part #1 in the diagram above. A pix would definitely help. Thanks

Yup. That's the same part where mines is damaged but mines is only pushed in by 1/4 of an inch only. So hopefully the shop can fix it for less than $300
