PWR intercooler

hey i was just wondering if any one here has any experiance with the PWR liquid to air intercooler? if so how do u like it and is it really all work up to be wat it says? i tried looking for other post on here about it but i found mostly post about the V mount and the FMIC but none of the PWR intercooler

Wow, that looks like a very interesting setup. I've never actually seen a "barrel" intercooler before... how much does a setup like the one pictured above go for?

yea it is a very interesting set up......its beautiful in fact lol, but question is, how sufficent is it compared to a FMIC or Vmount

It is more efficient than any air to air but not practical for the street.

The drawback to an air-to-liquid IC is that the heat removed from the intake charge has to go somewhere, meaning that the heat is transferred to the cooling liquid, which will store up the heat unless it is removed from that medium as well. Air isn't as efficient as liquid at transferring heat, so if you do a lot of boosting, unless you have very effective radiator setup (meaning added weight and complexity) to expel the heat from the cooling liquid, the air-to-liquid IC loses its efficiency pretty quickly. That's why it works well on dragracing applications, where it only needs to deal with the heat generated by one quarter-mile pass.
