pulsation damper

I am doing the pulsation damper elimination to my FD and as you all probably have read you tap the primary fuel rail to replace the Pulsation damper with a barbed fitting. Now my question is, the damper was there for a reason should install an aftermarket damper somewhere else in the fuel line or just eliminate it completely? Also does anyone have an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator in their stock fuel system? So what I am really asking is what modification have people done to their stock fuel system without jeopardizing performance in stock form when eliminating the stock damper

You will want to get a FPR that has a dampener in it. That is currently what my setup is. Most FPR do have one built in. SX-6 does http://rx7.com/store/rx7/fdfuel.html . Also The Aeromotive does as well
