Nice work. It took me roughly around the same time but I did it over a couple of days. The most time consuming part was just unplugging / disconnecting everything.

Instead of pulling the engine up and out of the car like most people did I found it easier to raise the car higher and drop the engine down under and out of the car. Mind you this was all done in my garage with just a few jack stands and an engine hoist.

You must have some super tall jacks and jack stands!

I am in the process of pulling my engine out right now. Fun times!

Do you guys even have a lift in your shop, or does one of you hold the car up with one arm while you're working?

I would also prefer to drop the engine without using a hoist if possible, but I don't think it could be done with basic jacks/stands.
