Puff of smoke

Is it an indication of a tired motor in a 93 fd if you get a puff of smoke when you crank the car up in the morning ? It doesnt smoke at all the rest of the time just that first bit of smoke in the morn. Any pointers? It runs very well and accelerates like a bandit. I searched the archive and couldnt find something discussing this.

probably just condensation if the smoke doesn't linger around, otherwise could be coolant seals failing

or possibly could be your turbos. How many miles are on the engine and turbos? If it smells sweet and the smoke is white, you are burning coolant, and that my friend is not good. Not to worry though, this is very very common for a 3rd gen to smoke when it has sat for some time.

Most of our FD are like that.

That should be normal.
