psi or bar which gauge is better?

whats a more accurate reading? I was looking at getting defi boost and water temp gauges, and know that 1 bar is around 15 psi. However, I wont be able to know exactly what my boost is at when the pattern is going from 10 to 8 and back to 10, so I'm assuming Im going to see a little drop on the gauge. PSI is just eaiser to read, but if I can get used to the BAR system, is it that much better?

I would go w/ PSI. Much easier. Everyone in the US goes by PSI anyways. If you get one that reads BAR, you would have to convert it and ****.

it reads the same thing just in a different way. people in japan might say get bar that psi stuff is gay. i think it doesnt matter really. in my buddys car the hks boost controller reads in bar and his gauges are in psi. i guess its just personal preference.

well dammit. Im in a bit of dilema then...I wanted to get the defi BF series boost gauge and coordinating gauges, but they only offer the boost gauge in Bar readings. I guess Im going to have to find other gauges. I mean, worse come worse, Ill do the converting, but if I can get a psi gauge, I was assuming it would just be eaiser. Its an "at a glance" kinda thing, rather than a pen, paper and calculator thing. suggestions?

PSI... especially if you are using this forum for information you will have to do the Bat - PSI conversion everytime you look something up...BUT if you get a Apexi Power FC then the units are in Bar...so you will have the best of both worlds

You COULD always just print out a small chart with a given PSI and what it is at what bar. EVENTUALLY, unless you're retarded , you will memorize what bar is what at psi. Of COURSE everyone here is going to say PSI. We are all used to it

When I was driving in Germany, I rented a few cars. They were all in Kilometers. After a while, you know what speed is what cuz you think back at what it is in mph. Eventually, you don't even end up thinking about it at all. Like 100kmh is about 60mph. 240kmh is about 140mph. When you are in a speed zone that tells you 100kph, you just look down at the speedo and know what to do. If you want to not exceed .90bar, just adjust the boost to hit .90bar, which you know is about 13.5psi. Then little by little, read your gauge and think about what it is in PSI. AFter a while, you will never think of psi again since you know what bar is safe and what bar area you should be in.
