proper alignment of air bleed sockets in the LIM?

I think there's a small key at the bottom of the air bleed so they can only go in one way.

Dale,
Thanks for the response. Actually the 2ndary air bleed sockets do not have that keying feature at the top that the primary ones do, they appear to be completely round. The bottom is different too, it is parallel with the top, not slanted. There also is a different number of legs. Since the top is completely round, at least to my poor eyesight I am assuming there is no required alignment. I am hoping someone will verify this.

I'll take a look at the Service Highlights manual at lunch - they had a pic of the air bleed system in there. I'll see if that sheds any light on it and get back to ya.

There's no required direction for the secondary air-bleed sockets. When I reinstall them, I usually point them both in the same direction, but it really doesn't matter which direction it is. The primaries, as Dale pointed out DO have a specific direction (they are keyed to only fit the proper way)

Just a guess but since the secondary ones are parallel no matter how they go in, they will impede airflow similarly no matter how they are put in.
Though I put mine in so the air did not have to slam into a bar directly, so the air has a direct path through the centerline of it.

Just checked my service highlights book, and it shows a clear picture of them. There's no direction to them - just shove 'em in. The primary air bleeds are angled, that's why they're keyed.
