profec B stops working...

the lights are on but nobody's home

* it looks like it is working, but it is not controlling boost (at all)

* it used to work with the base factory setting (10gain only - no other adjustments) - but would not control boost otherwise (weird, I know)

* the car has been hibernating due to snow - but took it for a run last night (finally a bit of thaw) - no boost control, won't even work in the base setting

* only thing that has changed since the car has been hibernating, is that the battery was disconnected (and reconnected, obviously), and the ecu was unplugged/replugged

* since the unit was installed there has been some odd noises - when it hits positive boost there is a sound of fluttering air (sounds like a leak, but haven't been able to spot anything) - sound appears to come from the back of the unit

any tips would be appreciated

if you have installed the solenoid under the hood they are known to fail due to heat...

The solenoid shouldn't fail due to heat, as long as it's installed in a sensible location and not right next to the turbos . You might have another problem, like a boost leak or something - may not be the controller at all.

it's boosting great - nice smooth pattern, unfortunately its peak is .9bar - which is not where I want it at the moment
