Profec B installed : It works!!!
So I followed these insturcions directly and it worked the first time.
There is a 4" line going from the turbo to the wastegate. Wastegate is the upper actuator, Precontrol is the lower actuator.
Take off the 4" line, run a new vacuum hose from the turbo nipple to the "in" on the black box, run a new vacuum hose from the "out" on the black box to the wastegate.
There is another hose coming off the drivers side of the wastegate that is kind of hard to get to, take the hose off and cap these 2 nipples off.
I ran my wires through the rubber boot were the stock wiring harness goes into the firewall, under the ABS and wiper motor.

BTW: It took me about 3 hours to complete everything. Could have probably done it in 2 hours if I didn't take breaks and have to keep explaining every damn thing to my friend.
I am now running a full 10psi instead of 7.

not talking about "careful" as far as emissions
be careful as far as boost creep and spike with the midpipe
it can get really bad.....even if you DO have a ported wastegate
its a PITA to have to watch your throttle so you dont overboost anything...
depends on how restrictive the rest of your exhaust ends up being though if you can control your boost at all
days of just slamming it down whenever you want could be a thing of the past...
like i said....make sure you think through the decision completely - be careful

Do you guys think this "spike" could be controlled with the use of a POP-OFF valve. not to be confused with a blow-off valve. You set the spring to vent at a certain psi before the throttle body and any excess pressure should vent. I wonder if this would work. It is not electronic though so it would take several runs to slowly achieve the correct setting. If you set the boost to 14 psi, you get a surge of 16, the pop-off valve should catch it and vent th other 2psi as you have set it to vent at 14psi. I'm curious if anyone runs these and does not have a problem with spiking.

ive thought about the same thing
but everyone told me that they dont work that well
i will probably still experiment with one sometime though
the greddy one only runs like $150 or so...might be worth it to experiment

I've thought about the pop off valve before and it sounds like a good idea. I know it will spike with the mp but probably not to bad since I really don't have an intake and have a somewhat restrictive exhaust.
I was waiting for the profec before the ecu was put in and the profec came today so thats why I'm just gonna wait a few days and go ahead and do the mp too..

do not put the midpipe one until you have that ecu in there....
might make some good power for a bit......but it wont last too long before you figure out how lean you were actually getting on those spikes....
