I am on the hunt for OE pintle caps for the Primary Injector "Purple".

Several years ago I had my injectors cleaned/flowed and they came up with a makeshift cap arrangement that now years later was found to not work correctly as the lower filter screen ended up getting crushed. My local injector shop who is well versed in the injector world informs me he hasn't ever seen a replacement cap and that they would just modify/ shave a taller style cap to fit. I have found a picture of what I figure they will do.

Anyone ever come across a source for new OE pintle caps? Or is the shaved cap just the norm?

They are out there, Nissan also used side feed injectors with a similar design for quite some time.

Yes, while the secondary injector pintle caps are readily available and easy to find alas the primary injector pintle cap are different being the elusive unicorn thus far. It seems the FD primary injector was the only one with this specific cap.
