Fuel Injector pintle caps and impedence.

Fuel Injector pintle caps and impedence.
2 questions.
1st- are all the pintle caps for 2nd gen RX-7s the same size? The caps that came off my 87 are different from the s5 jap motor i got. Mazdatrix only has one pintle cap size for 2nd gens though. I think something might be fishy about that. I also bought a fuel injector seal kit from parts store and the pintle cap did not fit my injectors.
2nd- in order to use the high impedence injectors on an 87 (before 87.5) all i have to do is ditch the solenoid resistor and connect the wires from either side of the connector?

something is definately fucked up then. i have 10 injectors, 6 w/ the "tap" in the middle of the connnector (low impedence), and 4 from s5 jspec
they definately do not all have the same sized tip. the pintle caps on them are very different. someone has had their hands in there before, and something is not right.
get this: car wont idle or rev past ~1000 rpms when everything is hooked up like normal... unplug fuel pump relay and it will idle and rev up to 3000rpms for a few seconds till it runs out of fuel.
