cracked pintle caps on primary injectors
I'm in the process of replacing o-rings on all my injectors. When I removed the primary injectors from the rails the pintle caps stayed in the rail. When I got them out I noticed that they were cracked. Here's the pictures:
I'm assuming that they were cracked before I took them out since they got stuck in the rail. As you can see in the picture, I managed to get them back on the injectors and they still "snapped" into place quite snugly.
So what do you think, do I need to replace them?

Since, you have the injectors out you should have them cleaned. When you get them cleaned, you get new o-rings and pintle caps. I used whichhunter performance, very fast turn around and return shipping. No problems or complaints great service. Here is a link to there website http://www.witchhunter.com/ . Just make shure that when you get them back and install them dont let them sit for two week before running fuel through them. Other wise you will have to take them out and un stick them. Dont ask me how i know this . When i put mine together and tried to start the car it would only run on one rotor and the problem was a stuck primary injector. So off went the UIM, it took me 4 hours to figure out it was a stuck injector and to fix it.

This happened to me and I replaced them. You might be able to get away with it but its alot of work wasted if you end up having flooding problems or worse. Obviously you know how much work it is putting the rail back in and then the manifold. My advice would be to just replace them and be done with it.

OK thanks. Unfortunately witchHunter only ships to the US (I'm in Canada), does anyone know where I can buy the caps individually? I just bought OEM o-rings from mazda so I really only need the caps. I checked mazdatrix and they only sell them for the secondaries.

You could try these guys...I believe they will ship to Canada. They might just sell you the caps, but if it's been a while, good time for cleaning too. Also fast turn-around and you'll get them back with new 'O' rings and caps. http://kgparts.com/index.php?page=fuelinjectclean

I'm in the middle of putting my car back together now and I'm doing the fuel rails now. I actually ran into the problem of the KG parts secondary rail not touching the LIM and called it quits for the day. My brother and I are going to make spacers since I now have the longer bolts to reach through the spacers we make. The reason I'm posting here though is because I put my 550cc primaries in that were cleaned by witchhunters and don't want to have to take it all a part again later. What can I do to avoid them sticking? Sorry for going off topic here but I was just hoping someone could help me. Thanks in advance
