Pressure plate won't go ON!!!

So I gotten to the point where I have gotten the flywheel on good. But I ran into the problem when I was putting on the new pressure plate. Not all of the pins will line up with the pressure plate. Do i need to get a new lighten flywheel or do i need to do some type of modification. I got the competition clutch stage 4.

The pictures are two of the old one showing how its goes on really easily

The other two pictures show the new pressure plate, however, the three dial pins do not line up with the new pressure plate

Sounds to me like you have the wrong pressure plate. I just put a new high performance clutch in a buddy of mine's FD and all went well. We also put in a light weight aftermarket flywheel and all was well. I hope I am wrong but it appears to be wrong.

Take that thing back. If it isn't incorrect, you need one where the dowel pin holes line up precisely. Otherwise it could break at less than its full torque capacity - and on a spinning flywheel it can be disastrous. You should be able to use the old PP as a template to be sure the replacement has the dowels in the exact correct place.

LOL, the old pressure plate wouldn't come off. I forced it to come out. I thought I wouldn't have to use it again.

Resurface your flywheel also if you haven't already. Sounds to me like you got the wrong pressure plate, where did you order from ?

probably when they resurfaced it they goofed on putting the dowel pins back straight. Same thing happened to be and bugged the **** out of me so i ended up taking the pins out myself, putting the plate on, lining up the screws, then put the dowels back in and everything was fine after that.
