You can get lowering springs with the konis. I don't see any reason why you can't. When I upgrade my struts I'm going with the konis. Dampening adjustables and height adjustable.

I think the tokikos are just dapening adjustable.

.

eibach sells a spring kit that will make 1" lower, if you want to go more lower you can go with ajustables: ground control or M2, I prefer M2.

both shock brand are lifetime waranty,

Tokico Illuminas are simultaneously rebound and compresion dampening adjustables , are not rebuildable, and can not be revalve ( dont' now whats their maxium spring rate give them a call).

Konis sports (yellows) are only rebound adjustables, can be rebuildable and revalve, can be made custom individual compresion adjustables and can take a maxium spring rate about 500lbs on fronts(stock are about 240lbs)

In my opinion if you wanna go yust in the street and ocasionaly autocross tockico are ok, and if you wanna go street, more seriusly autocross or roadracing go with konis, because you can upgrade.

Go with the Konis. They have adjustable spring perches, and infinately adjustable valving whereas the Tokico only has 5 settings. The Konis can also be custom valved and made completely double adjustable in the future if you wish.

Checkout www.shox.com for a quote. I got all 4 Konis last year for $550 delivered.

Ground Control and Tokico Illuminas??

I just bought a Ground Control kit for FD with GC's standard FD spring rates; 500 lb/in front and 400 rear.

I already had a new set of Tokico Illuminas waiting to go on with the GC pieces.

Before I purchased, the tech guy at Ground Control told me the Illuminas would handle the 500/400 spring rates okay.

Anyone tried this combination and found the car to be a pogo stick?

I use my FD primarily at the road course. It's not a daily driver.

They are huge and in stock; great to deal with. Think I did ground on mine, so it was about a week. No paying and waiting; it ships right away. You have to email them for quote, but they will respond same day or next.
