Pre-Auto sleeks

Hey all, more of a query than anything. Are the pre-auto sleeks still around.. and desirable? I searched but haven't seen any recent FS threads for them. I have a never installed set in the garage and I'm wondering if it's worth selling.

I can't even remember what they went for it's bee so long..

thanks,
Mike

they went for like $650 IIRC do they sell? dunno. Reason being Pre auto lights were plagued with cheap hardware and flimsy light covers which tarnished their/his reputation. Has great lighting though.

I actually had to spend a pretty penny to get mine to the an acceptable level. I bought thicker lenses and had a body shop fab a whole different bracket system. Would I do it again? nah too much work

Besides the before mentioned poor hardware and subpar fiberglass housings, I remember the PreAuto guys pissing off a lot of people with not being the most responsive when people tired of waiting for their lights or received lights with missing parts.

I had a set of these and after seeing how much additional work they would require to install properly, I put them right up for sale.

pre-auto sleek lights are horrible, they use cheap ebay fog lights similar to these for their kit.

Either pre auto switched light sources or you got them mixed up with another brand (something tells me you're thinking evo r lights). My preauto's use hella H9 projectors for low beams and the lighting is top notch.

Edit- ^not my picture

honest mistake . Anyway I like the way the evo r's look but you are right, that lighting is just horrible. That always kept me from pulling the trigger on those things.

I think I was in the first batch of lights produced and I sure as hell don't remember getting Hella H9s in my package. I probably would've had a better opinion if I had.

^^ wow you sure? because I was also on the first batch, and as far as I knew everyone got H9's for lows.

IIRC even the install instructions had H9's being referred to.

Thanks guys. I'll toss them up for $375 and see what happens. You're right about the mounting hardware though. Looks like someone bent up some aluminum cans for it, heh. Would definitely use something more substantial.

Hey Montego, do you still happen to have your install instructions (if there were any)? I think I have some on my laptop but I need to look for them.

thanks,
Mike
