Power FC question

I recently installed the PFC and clipped the wrong two wires on the wiring harness. I used butt connectors and rejoined them as a temporary fix. My question is, Which wiring harness would I need to replace if I wanted to purchase a new one to substitute for the incorrectly cut one? How long is the harness that needs to be replaced? Anyone have a used one for sale or know where I could find one? Thanks.

The miscut wires had to be rejoined because they weren't meant to be cut. I wanted to know the part number of the harness or what it is referred to as so that I could possibly look for another one. I also wanted to know how long the wire harness is, because I don't want to have to rerun an entire engine harness. If anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Engine harness

Engine harness is just like any ordinay electrical wires. If you cut the wrong ones, just re-solder them back together, electrical tape it and all is well.

Don't sweat over it too much.

efinirx7: Just so you know, that harness that you clipped the wrong wires on is a REALLY expensive part. Not only that, but installing it is a royal PITA, so unless you're stupidly wealthy (in which case we need to become friends so you can help me with my mods), then solder those wires back together (be careful of the surrounding stuff since it's all so close together), and clip the right ones.

I'm not sure of the price of the harness, but I'm told that the same type of part for a 300ZXTT is like $1500 w/o install.

Next time, make sure you quadruple check the wires you're cutting! I was super paranoid about this when I installed my PFC too, and I checked and checked and checked to make sure i had the right ones, and based on all of the info out there, I was confident that I did.

dude don't worry, i removed all the unnessary wires from the harness, i took it out, traced all the solenoids wires that i'm not using, egr, double trottle etc. i did this because i wanted a clean look, i'm installing an apexi rx-6 single turbo. u can easily solder back the wires u cut and it would be just like new

At this point any harness you find used will be so brittle you would probably mess it up changing it.

Why don't you just call a dealer and ask how much one is?

After you find out you might be inclined to follow the advice and not worry about it.

I don't know the part number, but I'll find out in the next couple of days. By the way, is your name Everett? I don't really know you, but my friend Josh was just in Cali and picked up a 89 TII from a guy on forum with your name, I think(efinirx7)

You can find the entire parts fiche collection for 93-95 3rd generations at www.iluvmyrx7.com then go to 3rd gen and then to manuals. The wiring harness fiche is contained in the "Body a" sub fiche listing at iluvmyrx7.com. Just make sure you have adobe reader. BTW the part is over $500. I needed the shorter harness and the parts guy told me I was lucky it wasn't the big one because it was more expensive than the $500 for the short one. Good Luck
