JDM FD's came in 4 seater, i.e 2 back seats. Having said that they are extremely uncomfortable and you wouldn't want to drive any further than down the street in those backseats.

They can fit a small child fine but unless you want to have your drivers seat forward all the way so that your mate in the back can have abit of room, your best saving the FD for driving the Mrs around.

^+1 some models did come with them, but they are very cramped. If you are interested e-mail Ramy (FDNewbie) and he can get them for you. His e-mail is Info@FDNewbieImports.com and his website is below.

As stated above, most JDM FDs came in 2+2, however it'd be easier to fit a watermellon or a small child back there. They are expencive and aren't any bigger than the storage bins, so don't count on being able to fit your buddys back there.

The backseats are HORRIBLE! I think they are better off as storage compartments...

I have them in my car. I like having them there because you can put someone ther if need be. However I have only used them for people 2x this summer. Most of the time it is occupied by this beast:

they're about the same size as a MKIV Supra rear seats, except the Soop can at least accept a child seat.

that is not true, the supra has way more room, have you been back there? you can easily fit a normal adult in there

I think what he meant was that the actual seats are the same size, however as we all know, the leg room/headroom is greatly lacking in the FD. I don't know about anyone else here, but when I'm driving, the seat is almost touching the rear bin. And I'm not a tall guy, only 5'10.

i also have these seats, and anyone taller then 5'5 i'd say will have a hard time fittin back there even with the front seats pulled all the way up.
and even so, their feet would be tucked under the front seats at all times and their knees up to almost their face.
but i'd still say its more comfortable then the 2000-2005 audi TT's back seats.

no, the two are completely different, the seats are actually comfortable, and they can fit a person in the middle, opposed to our middle tranny hump

i have got back seats mate, but there is no way you can squizee someone behind my seat :] the passengers side - the same, my misses is only small so she doesnt pull the front seat all the way back but still...no way there would be some space to fit someone there..

im thinking of getting bins instead as they would have much more use then my back seats...

iv got back seats in my JDM type-RS. They are nice just so you have the option of putting someone back if there is ever a need, be but they are by no means comfortable...well they are comfortable and very supportive just horribly lacking in leg/feet space.
no one can go behind the driver as i need to have my seat back in order to drive properly as im quite tall but you can squish someone in the back behind the front passenger if both the front and back passenger are willing to be a but squished.

ive had some good times using my back seats. Im 5'11 and the seat behind the drivers seat has literally 2 inches to fit your legs into.... so in other words that person has to cross their legs.

but ya Ive had 4 200lb guys in my car... but like others' have said its basically just for driving down the road, or to the bar lol
I have defnitly found mine usefull!!
