Cool Possible wastegate issue

Well I think im narrowing the possibilities down on what it could be. My turbo definately doesn't sound like it's spooling, either of them and I'd find it really hard to believe that they'd both go, at the same time, at the same exact moment so my money's on the wastegate.

That being said, how would an open waste gate feel?

And better yet, how would I get the god damn thing to "close"?

sorry to tell you but your primary might have went. the primary has to make 10 psi before the secondary will spool so if the one went then the other wont spool and as for the smoke that from the turbo leaking that might be y it went out.

Terron, you need to include all the information you have, in order for people to give you a narrower list of things to check. You had said to me before that you heard/felt a "pop" and then the car didn't feel the same? You also have the CEL on and some codes on the stock ECU. The car has downpipe, mid-pipe, intake, and no boost control. You have no boost gauge to tell if you are making boost, or bleeding off boost. etc. Compression test results?

i have a boost control on it :/ it's all the way open since i didn't have a gauge to tell what i was going to be at.

Plus in my other post i did say about the CEL's I had as well as the pop sound, it just got burried under all the posts in here though.

An open wastegate would produce no boost. A major boost leak would also produce no boost. I'm not sure that sound will tell you the difference, since it's the pressure of the air that gives the sound its normal punch.

The only likely way the wastegate would hang open is if the actuator arm pops off the wastegate door arm. There is an e-clip holding this joint together - I suggest you check for that.

Since boost leaks are so common, check that next if the wastegate linkage looks ok. Check all the couplers between the turbos and the intake elbow.

found the problem, Rotarded saw that the IC pipe was busted through (I have no Idea how i wasn't able to see that, when I felt it it just sorta felt like it was going along the crease) so now she's good again. Woo.
