Possible project, Can You Guys Help???

Hey guys, I am new to the forum and am looking for some insight.

I have always loved the RX7 and thought about doing a V8 swap in it but everyone i find is insanely expensive. I found this car sitting in someones yard and the guy is interested in selling it but I dont know how much to offer him for the car or how much do you guys think the car is worth? And how much is too much money? Can you guys help me out??

The car has been sitting for about 3yrs and needs a new driver mirror and he told me the apex seals are bad in it. The interior is near perfect minus the driver side carpet being a little worn and dirty and car has 89k miles. Also, how much would it cost to fix to stock and is it worth it? I would obviously replace the front and rear bumper and side skirts with stock or something a little less flashy as Im not a big body kit fan.

Here are some pics, please let me know what you guys think.

Thanks

other than sitting for 3 years......you could offer mabye 7500 to 8000 for the car because it going to cost alot of chino to get this car back to a driveable car. hell id offer him 6k just because of the color!

?

I don't know man... I say 5k be okay to offer, but, If I was you, I low ball him maybe mid 3. Car needs lot done, and chances are it's been sitting for the longest time, so owner is probably desperate to sell for what ever offer he can get. Low ball him and see.. if not then offer 5k max... if higher, due to it being an auto, needing a full rebuild, I wouldn't go more. Again. don't know much, that's just my 2 cents..

It's a shame to see somebody trash an RX7 like that and leave it out for three years to rot. Between the body work, paint, and replacing the motor with a reman I'm sure you're looking over 10k to put it back in decent condition. I wouldn't offer more than 5k because it's trashed and it's an automatic.
