Is it possible??
Is it possible to: Buy a Greddy Type RS BOV and use it on the stock intake. My car is completely stock and i want the PSSSSSSSSSSTTTTT sound. My friend has a GST with an HKS BOV and it is the best sound EVER. Just wanted to see if it was possible to hook it up to the stock tubing on the intake. I've looked on here but can't find anything so either i'm "retared and blind" or i'm just "retarted and blind"

OK people, I think he gets the point. No reason to continue on bashing the guy. If you try searching around, you can find out how to vent your factory to get the sound your looking for. Greddy makes a BOV kit for the rx7 that I beleive can be used with the stock intake, well atleast I would assume so since its a "kit" and not a universal that you can weld anywhere. I'd double check with Greddy though. Other wise you would need to replace your intercooler piping, with something like the Greddy piping kit, so you can have it welded on.

FYI, it's normally helpful if the thread topic is relevantly titled to the subject of the thread.

No it's not Turbo'd
The "Kits" made for a certain car "Rx7- Kit" are not Weld on the Universal ones are, and need a flange, and a Bov....

Well definately dont feel sad for the FD, it is is VERY good hands no worries please. I take care of it just as good as most of you. It's almost impossible to post any threads on here that wont get bashed. I need to look harder next time instead of getting hammered over something so stupid and so small.

It's a doubble edged sword, you will attract some attention with a loud Bov, that's good for the Teenie Boper Crowd, Bad for the Badge Holding one....

Mazdaspeed,
Aftermarket BOVs are expensive, plus you generally have to buy a seperate adapter that will fit your car. All the performance benefits (IMO) are perceived, not real. Despite what the advertisements say. The OEM BOV is effective and reliable.
For a while I vented mine to the atmosphere, just to see what all the talk was about. Admittedly at first I liked it. It was different . But after a while it just got to be annoying and I plugged it back in. I'll bet if you did a search, there are a several others here that came to the same conclusion. It's up to you, it's your car, but you may want to try that first for a few weeks... before you spend the money. Just my .02.

As for the BOV sound, I'll admit, I like the sound, but I've grown used to it, and I have the HKS SSQV, which is the nicest sounding one IMO. Now I don't even notice it anymore.
On the other hand, it DOES come in handy. Riding far left up someone's bumper and letting the BOV go off loudly is a sure fire way to move ppl out of your way, instead of hi-beaming or honking at them
