Primary FC Coil

Anyone use them for your primaries on your FD? I've heard them are more powerful and work better.

They are suppose to be more powerful, I know they are definitely more durable. Never ever seen a bad set, and I've seen tons of bad FD units. I also wouldn't consider them anywhere near as powerful as a good aftermarket coil, even with a CDI attached.

I know you are going for big power numbers, I would just ditch all the oem coils.

LS2 truck coils wouldn't be a bad idea if you don't want to spend big coin.

P.S. got your PM about the vband flange, will look into it soon; been swamped...

as turblown said, a cheap and good option is the LS2 truck coils

You have MSD coils, jacobs ignition coils...

Great, I was just asking because the garfinkle coil relocation bracket that I bought is designed to use the stock secondaries but the FC primary.

I think those plus the HKS twin power should handle pretty much anything you throw at it.

Just looked up LS2 truck coils on ebay and they go for about $50 each brand new, but would the end result be as powerful as going with the FC primary and an HKS twin power?
